Men's track and field led by Hooten and Crawford at Principia

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The men's track and field team was led by wins by Mitchell Hooten in the shot put and Chris Crawford in the weight throw as they finished second at Principia with 136.5 points.

Hooten threw the shot 14.40 meters, and Crawford obtained a distance of 15.27 meters in the weight throw in their winning performances.

Dylan Goodyear placed second in the mile run, completing the race in 4:31.31.

David Martin earned a second place position in the high jump with a clearance of 1.65 meters, and L.C. Washington brought home a second place finish in the shot put with a distance of 14.33 meters.

Greenville featured three third place positions.

Alex Fink was third in the 400 with a time of 51.65 seconds.

Cole Simpson crossed the finish line in 2:10.02 in the 800 for his third place mark.

The 4x400 meter relay team was also third in 3:33.04.

The Panthers return to action next weekend at Monmouth.
