Men's track and field headlined by distance medley win at Monmouth

MONMOUTH, Ill. - The men's track and field team traveled to Monmouth for their final meet before the NCCAA indoor national championships.  The Panthers were sixth at the meet with 65.5 points.

Greenville's distance medley won their race with a time of 11:02.54.  Dylan Goodyear, Cole Simpson, Dylon Niswonger, and Noah Dir completed the race for the Panthers in 11:02.54.

Alex Fink provided Greenville with one of its four third place performances in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.15 seconds.

John Mangold was also third, achieving a time of 4:35.50 in the mile run.

The Panther 4x200 meter relay team was third when Salmond, Mahari Holt, Steven Oscar, and Fink produced a time of 1:33.32.

Erick Garcia reached a distance of 12.87 meters (42 feet-2.75 inches) in the triple jump to place third.

Also during the weekend, Jeremiah Davis went to Indiana to compete in a meet comprised of many NCAA Division I teams on Friday.  He placed fourth in the 200 meter dash with a mark of 21.93 seconds. Davis was also fifth in the 60 meter dash, finishing in 7.02 seconds.

The Panthers will send their qualifiers to the NCCAA national championships at Cedarville next weekend.
