Men's track and field earns four wins at Greenville meet

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's track and field team competed in the annual Greenville Select Meet on Saturday. Carson Rantanen recorded a pair of wins on the track, and Hunter Matthews and Justin Miller finished at the top of their field events.

Carson Rantenan ended as the event champion in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.86 seconds. He also won the 200 meter dash in 22.04 seconds.

Hunter Matthews was the winner in the high jump with a mark of 1.95 meters (6 feet-4.75 inches).

Justin Miller placed first in the javelin, recording a throw of 49.62 meters (162-9).

Wesley Kile took the runner up position in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.45 meters (14-7.25).

Greenville's 4x100 meter relay team of Di'Mond Salmond, Carson Rantenan, Dylan Webster, and Alex Fink completed the lap around the track in 43.49 seconds.

Di'Mond Salmond ended second in the triple jump, reaching 13.89 meters (45-7).

Blake Thebeau ranked second in the discus at 43.06 meters (141-3).

Maurice Radtke produced an attempt of 13.42 meters (44-0.5) in the shot put, taking second.

The Panthers head to Rose-Hulman for a meet on Friday, April 23.
