Men's track and field bags fifth SLIAC outdoor title

GREENVILLE, Ill. - For the fifth consecutive year, the men's track and field program dominated the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor track and field championships with 345 points and the championship.

The Panthers kept their title streak alive thanks to 11 individual golds as well gold in both relay events. The Panthers collected 34 total medals on the weekend, tying the conference mark the program set back in 2017.

The Panthers swept four events - filling the podium with their efforts in the pole vault, hammer throw, shot put, and 10,000 meter run.

Dylan Webster collected five medals individually for the Panthers. He took home gold in both the high jump and long jump, silver in the 110 hurdles and pole vault, and bronze in the triple jump. The five medals tied a conference championship record set by former Panther Matt Hughes in 2018.

Brown shattered the conference championship mark in the shot put with a distance of 159 feet-3 inches, more than seven feet further than the previous record he set in 2019. His distance of 47-3.75 in the shot put bested the previous mark by nearly one foot.
