Men's track and field piles up 158 points in win at Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The men's track and field team finished Friday's meet at Rose-Hulman as the top team with 158 points in a field of 10 teams. Greenville gained victories in six events.

Chase LaTouche and Dylan Webster received credit for two wins. LaTouche was the champion in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.93 meters and joined Noel Andino, Joe Gomez, and Claudio Trevino for a victory in the meet's final event, the 4x400 meter relay. The team completed the race in 3:20.28.

Webster gave GU winning performances in the high jump at 2.05 meters and the triple jump reaching 12.94 meters.

Colton Rich picked up the title in the javelin throw with a winning throw of 51.03 meters.

Blake Thebeau showed his dominance in the hammer throw, reaching a distance of 48.35 meters.

The Panthers will turn their attention to the SLIAC championships on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, in Greenville at their track and field facilities.
