Men's indoor track and field finishes fourth at Indiana State

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The men's indoor track and field team placed fourth of seven teams at the Indiana State meet on Saturday with 73 points in their first scored meet of the season.

Jalen Franz and Lawrence Harris posted second place finishes in their respective events, each gaining eight points.

Franz completed the 800 meter run in 2:01.03 in his runner up performance, and Harris cleared 1.80 meters in the high jump.

The Panthers received 10 points toward their team score from Ayden Cothern who clocked a time of 7.01 seconds in the 60 meter dash for third overall.

Chase LaTouche managed a third place 400 meter run time of 51.93 seconds for eight points.

LaTouche and Franz joined Austin Ball and James McMinns for third in the 4x400 meter relay, posting a time of 3:33.13 to earn six points.

Joe Gomez finished right behind Franz in the 800, collecting six points with a time of 2:01.56, and Brett Lybarger cleared 1.70 meters in the high jump, placing right after Harris.

The Panthers will next compete in the NCCAA national championships at Cedarville next weekend.
