TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The men's track and field team won the Rose-Hulman twilight meet with 178.5 points on Friday behind victories in seven events.
Jalen Franz earned a win in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.26, and Gianni Estrada took the title in the 3000 meter run at 8:27.03.
Austin Ball won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.54 seconds.
James McMinns, Jordan Peternel, Chase LaTouche, and Franz combined for a first place time in the 4x400 meter relay at 3:20.28.
Wesley Kile posted the winning effort in the pole vault with a clearing of 4.81 meters.
Blake Thebeau's attempt of 49.42 meters won the hammer throw, and Colton Rich gained the win in the javelin with a time of 53.83 meters.
The Panthers will compete on Friday and Saturday in the SLIAC championships at Greenville's Francis Field track and field complex.
