Men's volleyball takes set against Marian, top in three by Maranatha Baptist

WATERTOWN, Wis. - The men's volleyball team took a set against Marian before dropping a three-set contest to Marantha Baptist on Friday.

In the first match, Greenville lost 25-19, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16 to Marian.

Greenville hit .267 in the second set, compiling 12 kills, four errors, and 30 attacks. Overall, Greenville finished at 34/12/105/.152.

George Black producted 18 kills in the match for the Panthers.

Alejandro Condoy provided 19 assists, and Ryan Nelson had 16 digs.

At the net, Doug Becker was credited with four block assists.

In the second match, Greenville fell 25-19, 25-20, 25-20.

The Panthers had their best hitting performance of the night in the second set with 12 kills, three errors, 30 attacks, and a hitting rate of .300.

Black again led GU with 14 kills, and Andrew Martin provided eight kills.

Condoy registered 14 assists, and Black was the leader with eight digs.

The Panthers (1-9) go to North Central on Saturday for their second CCIW match of the season.
