RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The women's basketball team controlled Saturday's game at Concordia Chicago, establishing an insurmountable lead in the first quarter and rolling to a 69-43 victory.
Madelyn Stephen continued her strong season, collecting 18 points to lead all scorer's in the contest.
Ashley Anderson maintained her double figure scoring average with a 10 point outing and completed a double-double with 14 rebounds.
Greenville made 26-of-75 field goal attempts in the game, including an 8-of-23 mark behind the three-point line. The team converted 9-of-12 free throws.
The Panthers pressured Concordia into committing 24 turnovers.
Greenville led 18-9 after the first quarter and took a 33-19 lead to halftime.
In the third quarter, Greenville outscored Concordia 20-9, gaining five points each from Stephen, Lauren Eagleson, and Ally Cantrill.
A 16-15 advantage in the final quarter gave GU the 26 point win.
The Panthers (1-2) travel to DePauw on Friday for the first of two games against the NCAA Division III national powerhouse.
