GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The women's basketball team lost to DePauw 71-44 on Saturday after being outscored 21-2 in a game-changing second quarter.

The Panthers and Tigers were tied at 12-all after the first period when Madelyn Stephen and Lauren Eagleson made three-pointers in the opening frame.

After the difficult second quarter, the Panthers were facing a 33-14 deficit at halftime.

DePauw continued to pull away from Greenville with a 18-11 advantage in the third quarter and a 23-16 final period.

For the first time this season, Eagleson ended the game as Greenville's top scorer with 13 points. Eagleson made 4-of-7 shots from the field, including a 2-of-5 mark behind the three-point line, and sank 3-of-3 free throws.

Greenville's leading scorer this season, Stephen, was limited to just five points in the contest.

Greenville's normally pesky defensive pressure only resulted in 12 turnovers from the Tigers. The Panthers hurt themselves with 23 turnovers.

Ashley Anderson collected five rebounds to lead the GU squad.

The Panthers (1-4) have a tentatively scheduled contest with Washington-St. Louis on Saturday, Feb. 6.
