GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team defeated Fontbonne 79-47 on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers honored Sophia Cisneros before the game and then received 18 points from Alyssa Seymour and Savana Powell-Goodman in the win.
Greenville led 17-11 after the first quarter and took a 37-30 lead to the locker room at halftime.
GU pulled away by outscoring Fontbonne 21-8 and 21-9 in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
In addition to Seymour and Powell-Goodman's scoring, Carolina Hoffman made her presence known with eight steals and seven assists in the contest.
Mia deJesus and Cortney Brummer led the Panthers with seven rebounds each.
The Panthers (12-9, 9-5 SLIAC) travel to Lyon on Thursday.
