Women's soccer wins on Warner's late goal

WATERTOWN, Wis. - The women's soccer team won their third match in their last four contests with 1-0 shutout over Maranatha Baptist on Saturday.

The Lady Panthers gained a goal from Whitney Warner with 2:42 remaining for the victory.  Warner's goal was assisted by Breanna Thomas.

Greenville dominated the match offensively as they racked up 27 shots, including 11 on goal.

Thomas provided seven shots and four on goal.

Goalkeepers Hope Brakenhoff and Lourdes Machado combined for Greenville's shutout.  Brakenhoff had one save and faced two shots.  Machado encountered one shot.

The Lady Panthers (3-4) travel to Lincoln Christian on Thursday as they attempt to even their record.
