Women's soccer falls to Spalding in OT

O'FALLON, Ill. - The women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to Spalding on Saturday in their first home match of the season. O'Fallon Family Sports Park served as the host of the match.

Over the course of the match, Greenville produced a 15-13 shot advantage, and both teams had seven shots on goal.

GU goalkeeper Grace Gehner had six saves before Spalding snuck a ball past her in the 93rd minute of the match.

Greenville pressured Spalding in the first half with an 8-4 shot advantage.

Jen De Leon De Leon and Jordan Wilson each had four shots in the match, and Vanessa Ramirez ended with three shots. Three of Wilson's shots were on frame, and two of De Leon De Leon's shots were on goal.

The Panthers (1-1, 1-1 SLIAC) will return to action next Saturday at Fontbonne.
