Women's soccer defeats Blackburn in fourth straight SLIAC shutout

CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team gained goals from five different players in their 5-0 shutout win over Blackburn on Saturday afternoon.

Emma Cadwell quickly gave Greenville the 1-0 lead with her unassisted goal in the 3rd minute. Alexis Roberts had the second goal of the half in the 34th minute with an assist from Katelyn Christensen

The Panthers went into halftime leading 2-0 with ten shots. 

In the second half, three more goals were added to the board by Vanessa Ramirez, Ashlie Johnston Cabral, and Ella Ray

Greenville dominated offensively, outshooting the Beavers 26-7. 

Addison Miller had three saves while defending the net for the Panthers.

The Panthers (5-5-3, 4-1 SLIAC) will play at Westminster on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
