Women's tennis tops Illinois Wesleyan 6-3

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's tennis team earned a 6-3 win over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in Greenville.

Mireia Birosta and Addison Brannon were each a part of two wins, teaming together for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, and then winning their singles match in a tiebreaker.

Birosta was a 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 winner in No. 1 singles, and Brannon earned a 1-6, 7-5, 10-6 win at No. 2 singles.

No. 4 Claudia Principia was a victor in straight sets (6-4, 7-5), and Greenville won the No. 6 singles match and No. 3 doubles match by default when Illinois Wesleyan did not field a full team.

The Panthers (7-3) go to Westminster for a match on April 19.
