Women's track and field collects 25 points at Washington - St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's track and field team met Washington University in a dual meet on Saturday and scored 25 points. Washington University won the meet with 82 points.

Tawny Rodriguez placed first in the shot put for Greenville with a winning mark of 12.28 meters.

Rodriguez also led the field in the discus with a distance of 37.61 meters, and she was second in the hammer throw at 36.71 meters.

Cayden Sharp was the event winner in the javelin throw with a mark of 25.50 meters, and she ended second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.68 seconds.

Savannah Maloney was runner up in the javelin at 25.14 meters.

Alexa Seger was second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.96 seconds.

Greenville's 4x100 meter relay team that included Sharp, Seger, Kiki Boscolo, and Haniah Davis ended second in 53.27 seconds.

The Panthers will continue their season on April 17 when they host the Greenville Select Meet.
