Women's Volleyball earns ninth AVCA Team Academic Award

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The Greenville University women's volleyball team is one of four teams from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference that received the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for the 2019 season. Greenville joins Blackburn, Principia, and Webster in being recognized by the national organization for their success in the classroom for the 2019-20 academic year.

Overall, the AVCA had a record 1,313 teams, including 231 from NCAA Division III, receive a Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 season.

Greenville has received its ninth award and second consecutive.

The Team Academic Award was created in 1992 by the AVCA and recognizes teams who have matched their dedication to the sport of volleyball with excellence in the classroom. Teams must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative team GPA on a 4.0 scale for the year or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.
