No. 16 women's volleyball downed by No. 15 Webster

GREENVILLE, Ill. - It was a matchup of NCAA Division III top 25 ranked teams on Wednesday night in Greenville, but the No. 16 ranked Greenville women's volleyball team fell in three sets to No. 15 Webster in a 25-17, 25-21, 25-19 three-set match.

After a first set that resulted in a kill percentage of zero on 38 swings, the Panthers produced 14 kills and six errors on 51 attempts in the second set, ending with a .167 hitting percentage.

The Panthers ended the match with 11 kills and seven errors spread over 46 attempts in the final set as they produced a hitting rate of .087.

Mia Bonacorsi provided GU's best hitting performance in the match with 14 kills and six errors on 37 attacks and a kill percentage of .216. She also converted a double-double with 12 digs.

Anna Finch endured a challenging night in the middle, but she still produced one solo block and three block assists.

Chasity Hill totaled 14 digs for GU.

The schedule for Greenville (9-2, 8-2 SLIAC) will not get any lighter as they face the No. 14 Westminster team on Saturday at 11 a.m.
