AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The baseball team earned a split against Curry on Thursday in Florida after dropping game one 3-0 and winning game two 5-3.

The Panthers had a hard time getting their offense on track in the first game after a day off, and they were limited to three hits.

Curry added single runs in the first, fourth, and fifth innings for the win.

Logan Murphy was Greenville's starting pitcher and tagged with the loss.  He worked six innings and gave up all three runs, two earned.  He struck out five, walked one, and gave up six hits.

Klaiton Wolff, Andrew Torbeck, and Mark Islas provided hits for GU.

Game two saw the Panthers turn around their fortunes, coming back from a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the top of the fifth.

Ryan Taylor plated Greenville's first run with an RBI single, and Adam Lamb and Wolff each had sacrifice flies in the fifth inning.

In the seventh inning, Wolff delivered a two-run double down the left field line to give Greenville some breathing room.  Curry threatened in the bottom of the seventh, but Wolff closed the door for the save.

Lukas Whitten was Greenville's winning pitcher.  He pitched five innings and did not permit an earned run.  Both runs he allowed were unearned.  He also struck out one and allowed one walk.

The Panthers (8-5) play Benedictine on Friday in Kissimmee.
