Baseball records sweep over Eureka
The baseball team defeated Eureka in both ends of a doubleheader on Tuesday at Robert E. Smith Field. Greenville won the first game 15–1 in a game shortened to seven innings and concluded the doubleheader sweep with a 5-2 win in game two.

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The baseball team defeated Eureka in both ends of a doubleheader on Tuesday at Robert E. Smith Field. Greenville won the first game 15–1 in a game shortened to seven innings and concluded the doubleheader sweep with a 5-2 win in game two.
Landon Mokris led the Panthers in game one with a 3-for-4 performance, including a grand slam in the second inning that gave the Panthers an insurmountable lead. He posted two runs scored and six RBI.
Dylan Hill also homered, and George Schneider and Snyder Pennington each had two hits.
Luke Fleener started on the mound and pitched four scoreless innings, holding Eureka to two hits and one walk.
Terry Millikan collected the win, and Ian Wilson and Ty Kueper pitched a scoreless inning in relief.
The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one inning and led 4-0 after the third inning in their game two victory.
Braden Maltbie provided the Panthers with five innings of scoreless relief and struck out five. Eureka only had four hits and one walk in Maltbie's innings.
Cade Buehnerkemper worked four innings and only allowed two runs on three hits and two walks.
Pennington and Markus Isaiah each finished with two hits for Greenville.
The Panthers (11-18, 5-5 SLIAC) will travel on Tenneessee to play MUW on Friday and Saturday in a three game series.
