Football loses fight against Northwestern (Minn.)
GREENVILLE, Ill. - The football team fought hard against Northwestern (Minn.), helped by Delrey Crowder and Terrel Graves, who both scored touchdowns for the Panthers.
How it Happened:
After Kourtland Harris recovered the muffed kickoff, the Panthers were able to steal the first drive of the game. However, Northwestern (Minn.) got up 20-0 in the first half.
Greenville put themselves on the board later in the second quarter with a passing touchdown from Max Lynch. Lynch roped one to Crowder for a TD, and Luke Miller made the extra point, closing the gap 20-7.
After halftime, the Panthers pressed on. They held the Eagles at bay for a while and managed to score again. This time, Graves ran it in from the 11-yard line for a Panther touchdown. Miller's kick attempt was good, bringing the score to 20-14.
Unfortunately, the Eagles tacked on two more touchdowns, defeating Greenville 34-14.
Adrian Hinton led the Panthers in rushing yards and Crowder in receiving.
On the defensive side, Harris and Elias Velasquez led the team with ten tackles each, and Cole Glowacki recorded a sack.
