Football dominates Westminster on Senior Day
GREENVILLE, Ill. - Football secured a dominant 45-7 win over Westminster (Mo.) on Senior Day, improving their record to 6-2 and 4-1 in conference play.
How it Happened:
The game was a showcase of offensive firepower, as quarterback Max Lynch threw for 310 yards and five touchdowns, including a 44-yard connection to LaShawn Williams in the first quarter.
The Panthers took a commanding 21-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Luke Miller added a 20-yard field goal in the second quarter, extending the lead to 24-0 at halftime.
In the second half, Greenville added 21 more points, including a 6-yard run from Terrel Graves and a 6-yard pass to Delrey Crowder.
Westminster's lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter from Trace Helsel, but it was too little, too late.
Greenville outgained Westminster 476-244 in total offense, dominating both through the air and on the ground.
On the defensive end, Elias Velasquez crushed it with ten tackles with 3 sacks. Thomas Linnear was right behind him with seven tackles and two sacks.
