Football dominates Crown in season finale, 29-0
SAINT BONIFACIUS, Minn. - Football capped off their season with a commanding 29-0 victory over Crown College. With this victory, the Panthers claimed the number two spot in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with a 7-3 overall record and a 5-2 UMAC record.
How it Happened:
After a scoreless first quarter, running back Adrian Hinton put GU on the board with a 14-yard rushing touchdown. Hinton starred for Greenville, rushing for a total of 138 yards and two touchdowns.
Quarterback Max Lynch was efficient, completing 14 of 21 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns, highlighted by a 40-yard strike to Tanner Eubanks in the third quarter.
The Panthers' defense was relentless, allowing just 135 total yards and forcing three turnovers. Greenville also added a safety in the fourth quarter to extend their lead.
Thomas Linnear led the defense with five tackles and two sacks with Elias Velasquez close behind with four tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble.
