Bio
Lee Tenenoff enters his first season as part of the Greenville University staff as Defensive Coordinator. Prior to GU, Tenenoff was the Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.
 
Before coaching at Central Methodist, Tenenoff served as the Defensive Coordinator at Briar Cliff University and Illinois College. During Tenenoff’s 4 seasons as a Defensive Coordinator, he has mentored 11 All-Conference Performers. During the 2019 season at Illinois College, the Blueboy Defense led the Midwest conference in Pass Defense, both in defensive pass efficiency and yardage per game, holding opposing quarterbacks to a mere 123.2 yards per contest which ranked 3rd in the nation. The Illinois College Defense also ranked in the top 3 in the conference in total defense, interceptions, and takeaways.
 
Tenenoff spent a two-year stint at Wisconsin Lutheran College coaching the Defensive Line. During his time at WLC, Tenenoff coached five All-Conference selections including a Conference Defensive Player of the Year. As the Defensive Line Coach at WLC, the defense set a program record for sacks in a season with 35, 33 of which came from Defensive Linemen.
 
Prior to WLC, Tenenoff spent one season at Division II Southwest Minnesota State University functioning as Running Backs Coach, Assistant Recruiting Coordinator, and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. At SMSU, Tenenoff mentored the Conference's leading rusher who was also a 2nd team All-Conference selection. During the 2015 season, SMSU experienced the best season in program history going 8-3.
 
Tenenoff received a degree in biokinetics from Bethel University in 2015.
 
Lee and his wife, Savaya, reside in Greenville with their three children, Lila, Ricky, and Eleanor.
