ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The men's basketball team battled Fontbonne in a matchup of two teams ranking in the upper half of the SLIAC, and Greenville dropped the contest 129-108 on the road.
Malik Johnson and Ja'Rod Webb topped the scoring column for the Panthers with 15 points each.
The Panthers were not able to recover from a 64-37 deficit at halftime despite scoring 71 points in the second half.
Grimmett Glenn, Carlos Crespo, and Kiarie Patrick all finished with 13 points.
Vincent Rodriguez added 11 points, and Christian Bennett posted 10 points.
Patrick was GU's top rebounder with eight in the game, and Rodriguez provided team-high marks with four assists and three steals.
The Panthers (8-5, 4-2 SLIAC) will host Lyon on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in their next contest.
