LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The men's basketball team's high-energy offense pushed Spalding to the brink in a thrilling SLIAC opener, but the Panthers ultimately fell 109-105.
How it Happened:
At halftime, the Panthers led by a basket. However, Greenville came up just short in the second half, getting outscored 60-54.
Ja'Rod Webb led the Panthers with twenty-one points, hitting four three-pointers to keep the game within reach.
Kiarie Patrick added fifteen points and five rebounds, while Vincent Rodriguez tallied twelve points and dished out seven assists to direct the offensive charge.
The Panthers also got strong bench contributions, including twelve points from Carlos Crespo.
Greenville forced an impressive thirty-two turnovers, turning defense into quick offense.
