ELSAH, Ill. - The men's basketball team continues to dominate the SLIAC, defeating Westminster and Principia. The Panthers took down Westminster 141-108 and rolled over Principia 134-107.
How it Happened:
Game 1 vs. Westminster
The Panthers exploded for 72 first-half points, setting the tone for a dominant victory.
Adrian Alvarez (sixteen points, five assists) and Vincent Rodriguez (sixteen points, eight assists) led Greenville, while Grimmett Glenn added seventeen points.
The team drained 22 three-pointers, shooting 42.3% from deep.
The Panthers' defensive pressure forced 38 turnovers with Glenn and Isaiah Griffin posting five steals each.
Game 2 vs. Principia
Despite a competitive first half, where Principia managed to keep it close at 55-50, Greenville came out firing in the second half, pouring in 79 points to seal another win.
Kiarie Patrick led the charge for Greenville, showcasing his dominance with 22 points and nine rebounds.
Taieem Comeaux provided a crucial spark off the bench, adding nineteen points, while Ja'Rod Webb contributed 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting.
The Panthers' relentless defense was the difference-maker, forcing an astounding 51 turnovers and racking up 43 steals, completely overwhelming Principia's ball handlers.
