MEDIAPOLIS, Iowa - The men's soccer team matched up with a talented Iowa Wesleyan side on the road on Wednesday afternoon, and the Panthers suffered a 1-0 loss.
Greenville allowed the goal by Iowa Wesleyan in the 36th minute of the match.
The Panthers ended with a 12-10 deficit in shots, but Greenville had the better chances with six shots on goal while the Tigers ended with three shots on goal.
Greenville's goalkeeper Gerardo Lopez posted two saves for the Panthers.
GU was led by Jared McPeek's three shots, all of which were on goal.
The Panthers (3-6-3, 3-4-2 SLIAC) will host Blackburn in their final conference match of the season on Saturday at 6 p.m. The winner of the match will receive the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament next week.
