ELSAH, Ill. - The men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 shutout of Principia on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers received both goals in the second half.
Jared McPeek posted a goal in the 49th minute, and Benn Jane added one in the 56th minute, collecting an assist from Patricio Pichardo.
Greenville commanded play, leading with a 18-6 shot advantage.
McPeek provided four shots.
Goalkeeper Hiram Cruz provided the shutout in the net with three saves.
The Panthers (1-2-2, 1-0-1 SLIAC) will look to stay undefeated in the SLIAC with a match at Spalding this week.
