GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team fell 5-0 to the Washington (Mo.) Bears on Wednesday evening.
The Panthers fought off WashU until the 21st minute when the Bears scored their first goal.
WashU put up two more goals in the first half, leaving Greenville trailing 3-0 at halftime.
In the second half, the Panthers tried fighting back but were unable to put one on the board themselves.
The Bears added two more to the score in the second half.
Ben Beermann and Alexandre Cecon recorded the only shots the Panthers had, Beermann with two and Cecon with one.
Greenville's keeper, Alvaro Marchal, had some outstanding saves, collecting six total.
