GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team dominated Principia in a 5-0 match to solidify first place in the conference standings. Gabriel Sule led the charge for Greenville, scoring twice for the Panthers.
How it Happened:
The scoring opened in the first half in the 38th minute when Sule netted his first, assisted by Andres Garcia.
Coming out from halftime, Sule knocked in another one in the 59th minute to give GU the momentum. The rest of the half saw a flurry of goals from Rafael Navas, Garcia, and Juan Fernandez, each contributing to a comprehensive win.
Greenville outshot Principia 16-4, led by Sule, Garcia, and Navas with three each.
With this huge win, the Panthers stole first place for the regular season, giving them a bye for the conference tournament.
