HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The men's tennis team dropped a tight 5-4 decision against Carroll in their opening match of their spring break trip.
The Panthers went into the singles round after recording one win in doubles.
The No. 3 combination of Jean Rigaud Sanabria and Clark Kent defeated their opponents 8-4.
In singles, the Panthers earned three wins.
No. 1 Andres Sanchez went to a tiebreaker in the first set before winning 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.
No. 3 Clark Kent needed two tiebreakers to take his 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (13-11) win.
No. 5. Sanabria double bageled his opponent 6-0, 6-0.
The Panthers (5-5) will play LeTourneau and Messiah on Tuesday in Hilton Head.
