ANDERSON, Ind. - The men's tennis team defeated Anderson 5-4 in a tight matchup in Indiana on Friday.
The Panthers recovered from a 2-1 deficit after the doubles round and won four of six singles matches for the victory.
GU's No. 1 team of Andres Sanchez and Rafael Rodriguez won 8-6.
No. 2 Rodriguez, No. 3 Clark Kent, No. 4 Luke Motsinger, and No. 5 Jean Rigaud Sanabria grabbed GU's singles wins.
Rodriguez won his match 6-2, 6-2, and Kent went to a second set tiebreaker before winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-2),
Motsinger captured a 6-2, 6-2 victory, and Sanabria rolled in a 6-0, 6-1 win.
The Panthers (12-6) will play at Webster on Tuesday afternoon.
