GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The men's tennis team kicked off their fall season with a triumph over Anderson (Ind.). The Panthers defeated Anderson (Ind.) 6-1, winning two doubles matches and five out of six singles.
How it Happened:
Doubles
Andres Sanchez and Rafael Rodriguez won their doubles match 6-3, while Clark Kent and Jean Sanabria also came out on top 6-3.
At the number two spot, Francisco Trujillo and Jade Dynamic put up a fight but ended up losing their doubles match 6-4.
Singles
The Panthers had five athletes win their singles matches, adding five points to the team's total, boosting them to victory.
In his singles match, Sanchez took the second set to a tiebreak game, ultimately winning the set and match.
Kent fought back and forth with Anderson's number five. Kent took set one 6-2 before losing the second set 6-1. This forced a tiebreak set that Kent unfortunately lost.
Rodriguez, Colton Hulme, Trujillo, and Sanabria all won their singles in two sets.
