Stoll leads men's track and field in John Craft Invite
CHARLESTON, Ill. - The men's indoor track and field team competed at EIU's John Craft Invite, showcasing some impressive finishes from Cory Stoll and Neko Gibson.
How it Happened:
Stoll took home the second-place title in the 200m dash, posting a 23.01 time. He also earned fifth place in the long jump with a 6.43m jump. With his great performances, Stoll earned SLIAC Field Athlete of the Week.
Gibson was close behind Stoll in the 200m, running a 23.26 and earning fourth place.
In shot put, Eric Mitchell had a fifth-place showing, throwing for 12.79m. Mitchell threw 10.83m in the weight throw, placing eleventh.
Andrew Rexach also had a strong showing, earning another fifth-place title for the Panthers in the triple jump (10.96m).
The Panthers had Ben Hornaday run the 600m, and he placed sixth with a 1:31.66.
