Men's Track & Field takes fourth at NCCAA Indoor Nationals
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The men's track and field team competed at the NCCAA Indoor Nationals, earning fourth place with sixty-six points. The Panthers had six top-three performances, including ones from Chase LaTouche, Gianni Estrada, and Cory Stoll.
How it Happened:
GU's DMR team (Joe Gomez, Jared Ury, Jalen Franz, and Estrada) posted a 10:26.16 to earn a second-place spot, while LaTouche and Estrada also placed second in their events.
LaTouche ran a 51.03 in the 400m and Estrada ran an 8:43.84 in the 3000m.
In the 60m dash, Stoll posted a 7.00s to take third. He also did well in the 200m (22.63s) and long jump (6.74m), placing fourth in both.
The 4x200 and 4x400 teams executed, earning third place with a 1:31.65 and 3:28.41 respectively.
Jordan Peternel had a good outing, helping the two relay teams place and also earning fifth in the triple jump (13.63m).
