FULTON, Mo. - Despite a determined effort, the men's volleyball team fell to Westminster in three sets (22-25, 15-25, 20-25) on Tuesday night. The Panthers showed flashes of strong play but couldn't overcome the Blue Jays, dropping to 0-4 on the season.
How it Happened:
Greenville battled closely in the opening set, only trailing by three. The second set proved more difficult, as the Panthers struggled to find an offensive rhythm. In the third, Greenville rallied but fell short in the final stretch.
John Gannucci led the way for Greenville with nine kills on a .471 hitting percentage and an ace, while Hunter Paulson and Sam Molitor each added four kills. Tyrone Ealy added five of his own.
Paulson contributed four blocks, hindering Westminster's offense.
Kevin McGhee Jr. dished out fourteen assists, and Jay Ramirez held down the defense with eleven digs.
With two new roster additions, Andrew Weir and John Heater V saw some court time.
