CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The men's volleyball team traveled to Wabash on Saturday to compete in a quad against them, Mount St.Joseph, and Wis.-Stevens Point. The Panthers played well and even took a set against Wabash! Unfortunately, GU dropped all three matches but saw some great play from Sam Molitor, Tyrone Ealy, and John Gannucci.
How it Happened:
Game 1 vs. Mount St. Joseph (3-0)
Greenville fought hard but fell to Mount St. Joseph in a straight-set loss, dropping the match 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-18).
Despite the loss, GU showed promise with Molitor leading the way, delivering twelve kills on a strong .421 hitting percentage.
Gannucci also contributed with four kills, while Kevin McGhee Jr. distributed nine assists.
Defensively, the Panthers managed seventeen digs with John Heater V leading with six.
Game 2 vs. Wis.-Stevens Point (3-0)
GU fell in another 3-0 defeat to Wis.-Stevens Point.
However, Molitor filled the stat sheet again with eight kills and four digs.
Heater and Gannucci both contributed four kills, while Caleb Day added three with a .333 hitting percentage.
The Panthers recorded twenty-four digs, with Jay Ramirez tallying seven. Ealy and Heater helped defensively with two block assists each.
Game 3 vs. Wabash (3-1)
Greenville came out of the gate hot, taking the first set 25-15. The Panthers battled for the entire game but dropped the remainder of the sets to the undefeated Wabash. The Panthers controlled the tempo early, forcing Wabash into a negative hitting percentage in the opening frame.
Molitor was on fire, putting away eleven kills, while Gannucci added nine.
Day made an impact from the service line with three aces and collected five blocks.
McGhee contributed fifteen assists, while Ealy put up six kills and six blocks.

The Panthers (0-7) return to Wabash on Saturday for a rematch against the Little Giants and a game against Maranatha Baptist.
