GREENVILLE, Ill. – The men's volleyball team put up a fight but ultimately fell to the undefeated St. Mary-Woods Pomeroys in a 3-0 loss on Tuesday evening.
How it Happened:
Despite a hard-fought third set, the Panthers dropped the match in straight sets (14-25, 13-25, 22-25).
Sam Molitor led Greenville's offensive efforts with twelve kills, while John Gannucci added six.
Setter Kevin McGhee Jr. distributed 21 assists, helping the Panthers stay competitive.
Defensively, the team tallied 23 digs, with Jay Ramirez and Caleb Day (two blocks) contributing key defensive plays.
Greenville showed resilience in the final set, keeping the score close before St. Mary-Woods sealed the victory.
The Panthers' serving game also saw moments of success, with Day and Izaiah Fenstermaker each landing an ace.
