The softball team continues their winning streak, winning two of their spring break games in Kentucky. The Panthers beat Anderson (Ind.) 10-9 while taking their game against Muskingum 4-3.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. - The softball team continues their winning streak, winning two of their spring break games in Kentucky. The Panthers beat Anderson (Ind.) 10-9 while taking their game against Muskingum 4-3.
How it Happened:
Game 1:
In a back-and-forth battle, Greenville edged Anderson (Ind.) to remain undefeated at 5-0.
Anderson jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, highlighted by a solo homer.
Greenville responded in the second with two runs before tying the game in the third on a Destiny Dunlap sacrifice fly.
The Panthers took their first lead in the fourth and then exploded in the fifth and sixth, fueled by home runs from Dunlap and Sarah Salas.
Trailing 10-4 in the seventh, Anderson mounted a furious rally, capitalizing on a fielding error and a passed ball to score five runs. However, Salas shut the door to earn the save.
Sydnee Garrett led the Panthers with a 3-for-4 game and an RBI.
Dunlap (2-0) picked up the win in relief. Greenville's Josie Grunloh scored three times, collecting two stolen bases.
Game 2:
The Panthers rallied late to upset No. 19 Muskingum 4-3. With a two-run seventh inning, Greenville (6-0) remained unbeaten.
Muskingum struck first in the third inning, taking a 2-0 lead. Greenville responded in the fifth when Valerie Greenley's groundout plated Kelsey Martlage to cut the deficit to one.
The Panthers tied it in the sixth on Salas' RBI single, but Muskingum reclaimed the lead in the bottom half with a sacrifice fly.
In the decisive seventh inning, Madi Case delivered an RBI single to tie the game, and Ashlyn Colvis reached on an error, allowing the go-ahead run to score.
Salas (2-0) closed out the final two innings in relief, securing the comeback victory.
Greenville finished with seven hits with Garrett as their leader (two).

The Panthers (6-0) travel to Illinois College on Tuesday for a doubleheader at 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.
