The women's basketball team rolled to a 83-51 win at Blackburn on Saturday to clinch the third place position in the SLIAC standings.

CARLINVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team rolled to a 83-51 win at Blackburn on Saturday to clinch the third place position in the SLIAC standings.
GU led 19-12 after the first quarter and 36-31 at halftime.
The Panthers put the game out of reach by outscoring Blackburn 25-9 in the third quarter to move ahead 61-40 and ended the game with a 22-11 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Savana Powell-Goodman led Greenville with 16 points in the win. She was followed by Alyssa Seymour with 14 points and Natalie Iberg and Maddy Meek with 11 points.
Seymour added a team-high nine rebounds, and Iberg paced GU with four steals and four assists, both team highs.
The SLIAC tournament No. 3 seeded Panthers (16-9, 13-5 SLIAC) will host No. 6 seed Fontbonne on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in H.J. Long Gymnasium
