DANVILLE, Ky. - The women's basketball team showed resilience despite a 69-51 defeat at the hands of Centre. The Panthers, still searching for their first win of the season, fought hard but couldn't quite overcome the Colonels.
How it Happened:
After a strong first quarter, Greenville found themselves trailing 24-14, but the Panthers remained competitive throughout the game.
Despite shooting struggles, including 34.6% from the field and 25% from three-point range, Greenville continued to fight, especially on the boards, where they were just narrowly out-rebounded 41-38 by Centre.
Alyssa Seymour delivered another standout performance, finishing with 15 points and 12 rebounds, showing her leadership and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
Newcomers continue to showcase their abilities with Mya Mann and Baylie Joiner also stepping up with 8 and 7 points.
With plenty of positives to build on, Greenville will hopefully find their first win soon.
Up Next:
The Panthers (0-3) travel to Monmouth (Ill.) this weekend to play the Scots and Illinois College.
