GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's basketball team is 1-2 on their most recent SLIAC competitions, defeating Blackburn and falling to Eureka and Webster.
How it Happened:
Game 1 vs. Eureka
Greenville fought hard but fell to Eureka 80-60. Trailing by just seven heading into the final period, Greenville was outscored 23-10, sealing their fate.
Dru Clark led the Panthers with eleven points off the bench, shooting an efficient 5-of-6 from the field.
Baylie Joiner added ten points, while Carolina Hoffman chipped in with ten of her own.
Despite the loss, Greenville's defense shone, matching Eureka in rebounds (thirty-three) and collecting nine steals.
Game 2 vs. Blackburn
The Panthers overwhelmed Blackburn with a decisive 97-39 victory. The Panthers took control early, holding Blackburn to only thirteen points in the first half.
They showcased their depth and efficiency, shooting 48.3% from the field while out-rebounding the Beavers 49-40.
Greenville was led by Savana Powell-Goodman, who posted thirteen points and three rebounds, while Joiner contributed twelve points and seven boards.
Game 3 vs. Webster
