ELSAH, Ill. – The women's basketball team concluded their season after a 71-67 loss against Principia in the quarterfinals of the SLIAC Tournament.
How it Happened:
A furious fourth-quarter comeback wasn't enough for Greenville, as the Panthers fell just short of Principia.
After trailing by ten heading into the final period, Greenville erupted for 28 points in the fourth, nearly erasing Principia's lead.
Savana Powell-Goodman led the charge with seventeen points, including three three-pointers, while Mia deJesus delivered a dominant performance in the paint with sixteen points and sixteen rebounds.
Despite their late offensive push, the Panthers struggled to overcome Principia
After a great performance, deJesus was named a member of the All-Tournament team.

The Panthers ended their season with an 11-14 overall record and a 9-8 conference record. Greenville had some great wins throughout the season and even had some athletes receive all-conference honors. Carolina Hoffman was named Third Team All-Conference, while Cortney Brummer was a member of the All-Sportsmanship Team.
