WHEATON, Ill. - The women's soccer team dropped their first match of the season 3-1 against Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The Panthers went to halftime trailing 1-0, but Katelyn Christensen tied the score in the 53rd minute of the match with an assist from Allyson Schulz.
The Bluegolds added goals in the 65th and 81st minutes to lock up the win.
Greenville was outshot 8-0 in the first half, but the team made some adjustments and narrowed the shot deficit to 5-3 in the second period.
Addison Miller protected the net for the Panthers and finished with five saves.
The Panthers (0-1) will play Trine at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in their final match of the weekend.
