NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team was bested 3-0 in an early game against North Central (Ill.). Senior goalkeeper, Addison Miller, led GU's defense with ten saves.
How it Happened:
1st Half
Kellen Price forged to the goal in the 12th minute to get Greenville's first shot of the game. Unfortunately, it missed just right of the goal.
The Cardinals scored their first goal in the 17th minute and tacked another one on in the 26th minute.
Just before the end of the half, freshman Kristie Kregel tried putting the Panthers on the board with a shot but missed right.
GU went into halftime trailing 2-0.
2nd Half
Attempting a comeback, Allyson Schulz tried to bury one in the back of the net in the 55th minute, but North Central's keeper saved it.
The Cardinals added their last goal in the 63rd minute to make it 3-0.
The Panthers got one more shot off by Dillyn Baer in the 71st minute, but it was also saved.
