BATESVILLE, Ark.- In a commanding performance, Greenville secured a decisive 5-0 victory over Lyon on Wednesday.
How it Happened:
1st Half
The Panthers took control early, with Dillyn Baer scoring the first goal in the 23rd minute, assisted by Alexis Romeo. Greenville continued to apply pressure, leading to goals from Vanessa Ramirez and Sarina Castillo just before halftime, establishing a comfortable 3-0 lead.
2nd Half
The second half saw Greenville maintain their dominance, with Ashlie Johnston Cabral netting the fourth goal in the 53rd minute. Shortly after, Angie Russo scored from a Cabral assist, further solidifying the Panthers' lead at 5-0.
Greenville's defense, anchored by goalkeeper Addison Miller, kept Lyon at bay, limiting them to few scoring opportunities. Miller collected four saves in her ninety minutes.
