Women's tennis nips Westminster
The women's tennis team picked up a needed conference win as they were 5-4 winners over Westminster on Saturday.
GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's tennis team picked up a needed conference win as they were 5-4 winners over Westminster on Saturday.
Greenville found themselves down 2-1 after the doubles matches were completed. The No. 3 doubles team of Breanna Thomas and Brooke Bryant were 8-1 victors.
Greenville grabbed four of the six singles matches.
No. 3 Christina Bowman took a 6-0, 6-2 win.
No. 4 Maddie Walsh won 6-4, 6-3.
It took No. 5 Thomas and No. 6 Maddi Saffel a third set to win their matches.
Thomas won 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, and Saffel came out on top by a 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 score.
The Lady Panthers (2-7, 1-2 SLIAC) host Blackburn on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
