LEXINGTON, Ky. - The women's tennis team opened their spring season with a 7-2 loss at Transylvania in an indoor tennis match on Friday.
Greenville did not secure any wins in the doubles round and trailed 3-0 going into singles play.
In singles, No. 2 Addison Brannon provided a 6-0, 7-6 win, and No. 3 Lanie Carder captured a 6-3, 1-6, 10-3 win in a third set tiebreaker.
No. 4 Callie Adkins gave her opponent a tough match before dropping the decision 0-6, 6-0, 10-7.
The Panthers (4-1) will play Anderson on Saturday, March 2, in Zionsville, Ind.
