Women's tennis takes 5-4 win over Rose-Hulman
The women's tennis team earned a 5-4 win over Rose-Hulman on Friday afternoon at Greenville's Scott J. Burgess Tennis Complex.
GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's tennis team earned a 5-4 win over Rose-Hulman on Friday afternoon at Greenville's Scott J. Burgess Tennis Complex.
The Panthers won two of the three doubles matches and three singles matches.
On the doubles side, the No. 2 combination of Emily Buratovich Maltbie and Callie Adkins won 8-3, and the No. 3 team of Evie Johnson and Stephanie Kamp collected an 8-4 win.
In singles, the bottom of the lineup gave the Panthers the win.
No. 4 Natalia Higashi went to tiebreaker before ending with a 6-3, 4-6, 13-11 win.
No. 5 Maltbie won 6-3, 7-5, and No. 6 Johnson won 6-1, 6-2
The Panthers (8-6) will play Millikin on Monday in Greenville at 3:30 p.m.
